SDMO 750KVA Generator Decommissioning

Two SDMO 750KVA black start diesel generators at a Nigerian power plant unit had broken down beyond economical repair. The derelict units occupied valuable plant space and presented potential safety and environmental hazards through residual fuel, lubricants, and degrading electrical connections.

MIMAH completed the full decommissioning of both units — safely disconnecting electrical systems, draining all fluids, disassembling major components, and removing the generators from the plant. This work cleared the way for installation of the new 4,500KVA black start generation system, eliminating legacy hazards and freeing critical plant footprint.
