Building the workforce

MIMAH designs and delivers customised technical training — for plant operators who run critical assets, and for the local technicians who keep donor-funded systems working long after the project ends.

PV Storage Training

Why It Matters

Hardware fails without people who can keep it alive

Across our markets, the difference between an installation that lasts and one that quietly degrades is rarely the equipment — it is the competence of the people maintaining it. That is why every MIMAH training programme is built around real equipment, real operating conditions and defined competency assessment.

We train on the systems we engineer ourselves — turbines, boilers, instrumentation and solar PV — so the people we train learn from the people who build, commission and maintain these systems for a living.

What We Train

Programme areas

Programmes are designed per client — these are the disciplines we build them from.

Solar PV installation & maintenance

Hands-on installer and O&M training — from technician fundamentals to training-of-trainers for programme scale.

Rotating equipment & turbines

Operation, maintenance and overhaul practice for steam and gas turbines — on-site at your facility or at our workshops.

Boilers & steam systems

Safe operation, water chemistry, inspection and maintenance planning for industrial steam plants.

Instrumentation & control

I&C fundamentals through control-system troubleshooting, built around your installed equipment.

How We Work

Every programme is built, not bought

No off-the-shelf catalogue — a four-step process around your equipment, your people and your context.

  1. 01

    Assess

We establish what your teams need to achieve — the equipment they run, the gaps that matter, the local operating context.

  2. 02

    Design

Curriculum built around your actual systems and language requirements, with defined competency criteria agreed up front.

  3. 03

    Deliver

On-site at your facility, at our offices, or blended with remote sessions — always hands-on with live equipment where safety allows.

  4. 04

    Certify & follow up

Assessment against the agreed criteria, MIMAH competency certification, and follow-up support once trainees are back on the job.

Who We Train

Two audiences, one standard

For industrial operators

Competency programmes for O&M teams running turbines, boilers and control systems — raising plant availability, safety performance and self-sufficiency between OEM interventions. Delivered on-site, around your outage calendar.

For development programmes

Capacity building for NGO, donor and government programmes — local technicians trained to install and maintain the systems your funding delivers, with training-of-trainers to scale beyond the project. The systems keep working after the project ends.

Certification

What participants receive

MIMAH Certificate of Competency

Assessed, not attended

Awarded against competency criteria agreed at programme design — practical assessment on the systems trainees will actually operate and maintain.

Quality-governed delivery

ISO 9001:2015

Training design and delivery operate under our ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system (British Assessment Bureau).

Follow-up support

After the classroom

Post-programme support and refresher options, so competence survives contact with the real world.
